Battle Of The Houses

On Thursday, 4 September, the school came alive for our annual Battle of the Houses afternoon – and what an epic showdown it was!

Students got to pick from eight action-packed activities, from Pickleball to Art Olympics, and faced off against rival houses. The energy was sky-high, the competition fierce, and the teamwork on full display. Whether it was smashing goals, scoring points, or getting creative, every house brought their A-game.

Our activity leaders could not stop talking about how well students showed off our school values: Connection, Growth, Courage, Respect, and Responsibility. At the end of the day, they each chose one student to receive the House Spirit Award – recognising those who led by example, encouraged their peers, and kept the vibes positive all afternoon.

House Spirit Award Recipients:

· Simulator Golf: Logan (Year 10) – tried something new and lifted the team up with encouragement.

· Netball & Volleyball: Georgie (Year 9) – the team’s loudest cheerer and biggest motivator.

· Digital Technologies: Angus (Year 9) – tech wizard with a great attitude in every challenge.

· Art Olympics: Adeline (Year 9) – creativity + teamwork = gold star performance.

· Soccer & Archery: Jack (Year 7) – top sportsmanship from start to finish.

· Pickleball: Maddie (Year 9) – played hard, helped out, and kept spirits high.

· Fishing: Chace (Year 10) – patient, persistent, and always ready to help others.

· Cooking: Scarlett (Year 7) & Sommer (Year 8) – made sure everyone was included and every dish was a team win.
