The Big Freeze

Dear Parent/Guardian

Your child has been selected to participate in our Great Ice Plunge as part of our Wynyard High MND Big Freeze. The event will be held at lunch time on Thursday, 12 June. Students will sit on a seat and be lowered into a pool of iced water (approximately 15 C). The pool is structurally sound, and students will be able to stand up in the water. They will be required to exit the pool immediately. We will have qualified staff on site to ensure student safety. Students will need to bring a towel and some dry, warm clothes to put on after the event. A plastic bag to put wet gear in is also required.

Twenty staff and students are taking part on the day and to add to the excitement, students are encouraged to wear a suitable costume. If we raise $1500 dollars our two special guests, Mrs Willis and local football icon Keegan Weller will take the plunge. If you would like to support this important cause, please follow the following link: FightMND - Donation Page

Permission to take part in the Ice Plunge is required and as students will be entering the water, an aquatic permission is also required.
